The picture above represents a typical installation performed by Aging-In-Place Remodeling. We usually recommend at least two grab bars be installed in the shower/tub area. One grab bar installed vertically at the entry/exit point and one grab bar installed horizontally along the length of the back wall.
Aging-In-Place Remodeling has installed over 4,000 grab bars. We have developed specialized tools and techniques that allow us to install grab bars into a wide variety of surfaces including tile, fiberglass, drywall, and many natural and man-made materials. We stock 100+ grab bars in white and stainless steel, from 16” to 48”, in our warehouse so that we can meet your grab bar request within 24-48 hours. We have access to all types of sizes, finishes, and designs of grab bars in order to match any décor and thereby make your bathroom not only safer but also aesthetically pleasing.
Aging-In-Place Remodeling does free in-home estimates. During the in-home estimate our installer will determine if the surface where the grab bar is to be placed is sound and where the studs are located in the wall. This allows us to place the proper sized bar in a location that is the safest and most useful for our clients. If we are unable to match the grab bars location with the wall framing, we carry very specialized anchors that will still allow us to achieve an installation rating which far exceeds ADA guidelines. All grab bars we use are stainless steel and have a lifetime guarantee.
Specifications:
Aging-In-Place Remodeling typically installs grab bars that come in the following sizes: 12”, 16”, 24”, 32”, 36”, 42”, and 48”. In our experience we have found that the majority of our clients prefer grab bars that are 1 ¼” in diameter as opposed to 1 ½”. This smaller size allows for a better grasp and secure feel to the bar. Please keep in mind that we work directly with several grab bar manufacturers and are able to get bars in almost any size and configuration available.

available on grab bars.
For the ultimate in slip-resistance Aging-In-Place Remodeling also carries a full line of grab bars that have a plastic, ribbed coating that provide excellent traction. The bars on the left are great for those needing the extra visual cues provided by the contrasting colors.
Cost of Installation:
We charge $175 for the first grab bar and $125.00 for each additional bar. The price listed is for a straight grab bar between 12”-36” and includes the bar and any mounting devices necessary.
