The homeowner, with the assistance of her designer chose high end finishes to create a warm and serene space. From the grab bars to the light fixtures to the cabinets and counter tops everything came together beautifully. The bathroom features a frosted glass door, by Cast Glass Images that slides between the toilet room and the shower to provide privacy for whichever space is needed while not creating barriers with traditional doors. Grab bars were installed in both of these areas for bathroom safety. In the barrier free shower we also install a fold up shower seat, a hand held shower head and plenty of shelving for all of her showering needs. The shower walls are porcelain slabs and the shower drain is tiled so you don’t see the traditional drain. The cabinets have two unique features. The first is motion sensor toe kick lights. When motion in the bathroom is detected the lights under the cabinets will automatically come on. The other unique feature of the cabinetry is electrical outlets inside the drawers.

We had Aging-In-Place Remodeling do some home modifications and install a Stiltz lift in our home. The process was seamless and very professional. The Stiltz lift was installed in 4 days as promised and provides an easy way for us to go between the floors in our home. The crew that worked on this installation was dedicated to get the job done in 4 days and worked tirelessly to do it. The team communicated well with us and a provided an explanation of how the lift worked and what the service cycle will be.
At the same time as the lift was being installed we had another group of workers widening and moving doorways and performing other modifications on our home. This crew also worked tirelessly, and professionally. The crew were friendly and worked hard every day. Each of them put in a true 8 hour day. Prior to leaving each evening they swept, dusted and mopped the areas they had worked in to ensure we could be comfortable in our home during the time of the modifications.
From my first contact with Tyler Owen to the end of this project, I have been very impressed with this company. The service they offer to anyone wanting to stay in their home, despite aging or illness, is so valuable and I would strongly recommend this company to anyone.

We recently moved into a two-story home and wanted a home lift for bringing up laundry and for days when we just don’t want to deal with stairs, especially as we grow older. Tyler came out and really helped us plan the installation. I told him I didn’t want it to be too prominent, so he suggested a partial wall to “hide” it. We are so thrilled. His team worked hard to get the job done in two days, and we love the functionality and convenience of the lift for bringing things up and down (even small furniture items). Tyler gave us an excellent tutorial. I would definitely hire them again in the future.

Can I say that Aging in Place is Excellent quality, Good Value, Professional, Responsive and On time?
We were looking for an alternative to a stair chair lift and found Tyler Owen and his company, Aging in Place. They have been in business 18 years and know what they are doing. Tyler came out multiple times to work out the plans for where we were going to put the Stiltz lift. He answered all of our questions and worked with us completely. Even answered texts on time. The quoted price was fair. When it came to the install his crew of 2-3 men worked hard and were professional, courteous and treated our home like it was theirs. Six days later our lift was ready to ride. It is quiet, smooth and very high tech. It looks as though it’s always been there.
